National Vice Chairman (Southwest) of the People’s Democratic Party (PDP), Ambassador Taofeek Arapaja has joined race for Deputy Chairmanship seat of the party in the October 31st National convention of the party.
According to his media aide, Mr. Ibrahim Bamitale, the former deputy governor joined the race in order to bring normalcy back to PDP.
“After due consultation with party faithfuls, members, leaders and stakeholders, today, Ambassador Taofeek Arapaja participated in the screening of all Aspirants for the forthcoming National Convention at Legacy house Abuja”.
“While Ambassador Arapaja would be aspiring for the post of the Deputy National Chairman of our great party, this ambition is borne out of the great idea of repositioning the Party to greater heights it rightfully belongs like we have started in the Southwest PDP”
“Our dearest Governor and Leader of PDP in the Southwest, Governor Seyi Makinde, has really raised the bar of politicking in our nation and we can’t do otherwise than to follow his footsteps of all inclusive, purposeful and visionary brand of politics with human face. His supports has been very tremendous and we hope to continuing making him proud”.
The State Affairs NG reports that former Osun State Governor, Olagunsoye Oyinlola, and ex-National Secretary of the party, Prof Wale Oladipo, are alsp vying to occupy the position. The duo are from Osun State.
