The Nigerian Defence Headquarters (DHQ) has denied a news publication by Cable online news media claiming that personnel on duty at the Nigerian Defence Academy (NDA) CCTV monitoring room were sleeping when bandits attacked the officers’ residential quarters leading to the death of two officers and the abduction of 1 other officer. Nigerian Defence Headquarters has released its preliminary assessment of the security breach leading to the death of two officers and the kidnap of a third at the Nigerian Defence Academy, NDA. The assessment according to the release shows that the fleeing bandits gained acess and escaped the Academy’s barbwire fence along Airport road in Afaka. Barely one week after 27 travelers were massacred in Gada-biyu – Rukuba road in Jos North LGA, several people have been reportedly killed at Yelwan Zangam community.
