Federal High Court sitting in Abuja has turned down the request for the bail of the detained founder of Hilton Hotel in Ile-Ife, Dr Ramon Adegoke Adedoyin.  The ruling was delivered on Tuesday by Justice Inyang Ekwo following Adedoyin’s ex -parte motion, filed along with a fundamental human rights enforcement suit filed before the court, prayed to be admitted to bail pending the conclusion of investigation by the police or pending the determination of his fundamental human rights enforcement suit. Governor Babagana Umara Zulum on Tuesday launched Borno State’s Basic Healthcare Provision Fund, with the disbursement of N418m to 79 Primary Healthcare Centres (PHCs) across the State. The House of Representatives has ordered the Inspector-General of Police, Usman Alkali Baba, to immediately take  over the investigation of the circumstances, which led to the death of a student of Dowen College, Lekki, the late Sylvester Oromoni. He is also to investigate other similar killings and human rights abuses earlier reported in boarding schools across the country and see to the prosecution of the perpetrators.
