A Federal High Court sitting in Ibadan, on Thursday, discharged and acquitted former governor of Oyo State, Otunba Adebayo Alao-Akala of corruption charges. The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) prosecuted Alao-Akala, Hosea Agboola, a former Commissioner for Local Governments under the administration and Femi Babalola, a businessman, for 11.5bn fraud charge. The Nigerian government has dared the Socio-Economic Rights and Accountability Project (SERAP) to disclose where it gets money for publicity stunt against the government.
