The United Front (TUF), a group within Oyo State APC, has called on the Nigerian Police Force and the Independent Corrupt Practices and Other Related Offences Commission (ICPC) to arrest leaders of Unity Forum over alleged forgery of results of ward and local congresses in the state.
Leaders of the Unity Forum and their allies are currently in Abuja to meet with Chairman Caretaker/Extraordinary Convention Planning Committee of APC, Governor Mai Mala Buni.
This newspaper reliably gathered Minister of Youth and Sports, Mr. Sunday Dare; Senator Ayo Adeseun, Adebayo Adelabu, Adebayo Shittu, Sharafadeen Alli, Hon. Wale Murphy, Hon. Abass Alesinloye, Isiaka Alimi among others are in Abuja to clear themselves of wrongdoings.
TUF, in a statement by its Coordinator, Hon. Bello Razaq, described the leaders as shameless for not owning up to their criminal acts.
Parts of the statement read:
“The physical presence of the Unity Forum and their collaboratora has clearly shown to the world that they are behind the forging of results of ward and local congresses.
“While we are expecting the National Secretariat of great party to weld the big stick on Prof. Adeolu Akande, Alhaji Fatai Ibikunle, Barrister Adebayo Shittu Senator Ayo Adeseun and Isiaka Alimi of the Unity Forum and their partners-in-crime: Adebayo Adelabu, Sharafadeen Alli, Abass Aleshinloye, Wale Murphy, Sunday Dare, among others, we are urging the NPF and the ICPC to invite them for questioning”.
“It is very unfortunate that 2019 governorship candidate of our party, Mr. Adebayo Adelabu and his disciples like Sharafadeen Alli, Abass Aleshinloye, Wale Murphy and Sunday Dare could join Unity Forum elements who are not only hellbent on destroying our party but also acting in total disregard to constituted authorities of the party”.
“Instead of listening to their pleas. Governor Mai-Mala Buni-led APC CECPC must activate all disciplinary measures against the erring leaders in order to serve as deterrence to others in future”.
TUF threatened to drag Unity Forum Leaders to court for conspiracy and forgery, if the national secretariat of the party, the police and the ICPC fail to act on the perpetrated Illegalities.
