The Government of president Bola Ahmed Tinubu is faced with a plethora of issues.
The Economy of Nigeria under his watch is at an all time worse.
Prices of food and essentials have gone beyond the reach of the poor.
The image of his Government is battered left, right and centre.
There is no Government, since Shagari, whose image is as battered as the present Federal Government, led by Tinubu.
The president and his men have been trying to appeal to Nigerians to see the present hardships as a necessity which must be endured for the dawn of better days to break.
Unfortunately, the messages of Government have not yielded positive results and they will never do given the circumstances.
President Tinubu have surrounded himself with a lot of men who have been exploiting his obsession with 2027 to constitute a nuisance around his Government.
In fact, this problematic individuals abound in the his Government.
It seems like the president has a template for choosing those he wishes to be around him and the criteria for arriving at the choices of such individuals is in line with a particular standard.
From the experience of the past one year, it is evident that president Tinubu is more concerned with those he feels will make 2027 realistic rather than those who will deliver on a mandate that will enhance good governance for Nigerians.
That is why you see men of Tinubu’s inner caucuses always chanting away ” on your mandate we shall stand…”even after the mandate has been secured.
The question is, ” what mandate again”?
The mandate, obviously is 2027.
For president Tinubu and this sycophants, Tinubu himself is the ” mandate” and they have been hired to ensure that the mandate sticks with Nigeria beyond 2027.
That is why the president have been tolerating all manner of recklessness from his mandate drivers.
There are a lot of the president’s men who ought not to survived six months in Government because of the irritations they have become to the Nigerian people but the president is not irritated by them since they were never appointed for service delivery to Nigerians ab initio.
What manner of headaches have the former Governor of Rivers state not caused Nigerians?
Is it the loose or the reckless statements he is synonymous with?
Is it the needles crisis he has been perpetuating in Rivers state?
Currently, he is entangled in an unnecessary war of words with Senator Ireti Kingibe, the only Senator representing the good people of the Federal Capital Territory ( FCT).
Guess his audacity? Wike threatened on live TV that he will ensure that Mrs. Kingibe does not get reelected in 2027!
Wike is not a registered voter in the FCT. Even if he is, he is supposed to have just one vote but here he is boasting that he will ensure that the woman doesn’t get reelected in 2027.
I know that my readers know what Wike meant when he made those silly threats.
From the fullness of the hearts, the mouth speakest.
Wike’s statement is clear. He is telling the Senator that he possesses the powers to manipulate her election in 2027.
That is not all. Wike was so power drunk to the extent that he asked the Senator, a seventy years old woman to go hug a transformer.
Such gutter language, coming from the mouth of a key member of the Tinubu Government is very damning.
They are the kinds of statements that attracts negative reactions from investors and the International Communities.

It is unfortunate that the president and the presidency have not made a statement about this sad incident.
It’s not a surprise that Wike will be such reckless.
Isn’t he the beloved Minister of president Tinubu’s, in whom the president is well pleased?
The one who is important in the scheme of things.
The one, who not only brought to the table, four opposition Governors in 2023 but is also useful in distabilizing the PDP.
It is all about politics. All about 2027 and since Wike is a useful tool, not only the president, but Nigerians also must get used to his recklessness.
Even if the president would be angry, all Wike needs to do is to go to the office of the Chief of Staff to the president and wax lyrical about standing on the mandate of the Jagaban.
Oh! That lyrics work wonders.
The same Wike it was, who was alleged to have wore some clothes worth in Millions of Naira to the office, even though, the Government he serves in have kept appealing to Nigerians to endure hunger and deprivation.
Tinubu’s Ministers can afford to display opulence by wearing a robe that costs a fortune while Nigerians go about on empty stomachs, most especially, when the Minister in question is Wike the Great.
His picture in those robes not only made me laugh, it reminded me of the saying that though, the white man made expensive robes, whether the robes will fit the one who wore them is beyond the white man.
” Oyinbo se aso, ko se fitting mo”.
The former Governor of Rivers state is not alone in this act of recklessness.
Some months ago, one of president Tinubu’s Minister was irritating Nigerians by telling us that we are wasteful because, according to him, Nigerians have the habits of not switching off their Air conditioners and freezers whenever they’re not at home.
You will think Nigerians have the luxury of uninterrupted power supply when you heard such useless talks.
The president’s spokespersons are not left out of this insensitivity.
They talk down on Nigerians instead of talking to us.
If you take stock of the present crop of Ministers working with president Tinubu, there is no way you will not come to the conclusion that majority of the Ministers have been appointed to serve the president and not Nigerians.
They are there to please the one who chose them and not to render service to Nigerians.
There is this rumor going round that most of the Ministers call the president ” Daddy”!
If you are a Minister working with a president you consider a father figure, how on earth are you going to have the courage to speak the truth to him when he errs?
In such a set up, mediocrity and sycophancy will surely be the order of the day.
No wonder no one was able to tell the president that his first year in office was an unmitigated failure.
Reverting to the old National anthem and unveiling some portrait of the president as part of activities marking a year in office and Democracy Day is indeed a very shameful act and yet, it was celebrated wildly by the president’s men.
Sadly, except the president rededicate himself to serving Nigerians instead of chasing a second term, things will get worse.
Things will get worse because the president doesn’t have the men and women who could make things better around him.
Those he has chosen to serve in his Government knows that all you need to do to please him is to engage in activities that suggests support for 2027 and they have been exploiting him as a result of that.
There is no dedication to governance.
About a month ago, some Leaders of Northern Nigeria visited the president.
I was shocked to see that the speech of the president was totally centered around Politics and 2027!
The president practically turned the occassion to an opportunity to campaign for himself and members of the National Assembly under APC.
If the president didn’t know that such occassion and the timing were not good for discussing 2027 ambition , shouldn’t the people around him raise his consciousness to that effect?
Since May 29, 2023, all the president and his close associates have been doing is only to dream, talk and plan for 2027!
President Tinubu’s Government is already a menace to Nigerians and those who genuinely love him should wake his consciousness to that reality.
Wike has let the cat out of the bag.
The only reason the president and his praise singers have been engaged in all manner of impunity is because of their confidence in their ability to manipulate things and ensure that the president is returned in 2027 not minding the wishes of Nigerians.
I think that is a dangerous risk and a thought that is better perished.
I don’t know why it is difficult for this president to assemble men of means who could assist him to make things work.
It is not impossible. It is just a question of choice.
If Nigerians see that the president is genuinely dedicated to making things work , they will support him and will most likely give him a second term.
Things have not been working for the president because he has been pursuing his own interests instead of the interests of Nigerians.
Until now, there has been no president who kick-started his reelection bid from the first day in office as president Tinubu has done.
The sycophants around the president have blocked his consciousness to the sufferings of Nigerians.
The attention of the president have been glued to 2027.
Who will save president Tinubu from his obsession with 2027 and the sycophants he deliberately assembled to hail him on this unfortunate journey to nowhere?
