Re: Ibadans Are Happy With The Roads; We Even Want More: By Babajide Alex Adetunji: Another Unforced Error By A Busy Body.
I just finished reading the article by another Busy Body who goes by the name of Babajide Alex Adetunji. I hope he truly exists.
When I read the headline, series of thoughts raced through my mind.
However, when I saw the names of the clown who signed it and I read through the story and discovered that the fellow provided no dint of information about his status and what qualifies him to speak on behalf of Ibadan, I said well, let us treat this one as one of the initial imbeciles who lacks knowledge and information but would only jump into the fray to defend the Governor.
You thought calling him an imbecile is harsh? Go through his piece, you will see where he made reference to insanity.
Just like Moses Alao, this one not only displayed ignorance, out of anger, he coupled ignorance with insensitivity.
At any rate, I must say that I smell the hands of the official ” Abobakus” in this write up.
How many times in the past have they done that. Write some useless stuffs which they themselves know is unbefitting as the official position of Government and bring them out through some funny identities.
I gat your time.
Alex Adetunji in his write up claims that he writes from Jankata in Ibadan.
Jankata is in Ido Local Government and I know the place very well.
If truly, the fellow exists and lives in Jankata, I will like him to come and tell the world about how the roads to Jankata, Siba, Elenu Sonso and many other areas along the area is from the Bembow end.
I can tell you for free that the roads in that axis is so terrible that even Okadar riders avoid the areas whenever there is a rainfall.
He equally said that an unnamed friend of his, who he claims is from Ogun state and resident in Sagamu told him that Ibadans are ingrates and insulting Governor Makinde, after reading my article which propelled his reaction.
He said that same friend of his came to Ibadan for an unspecified number of days and said he saw wonders all over the town.
Let me ask, did his friend see the wonders of Agbowo shopping complex and the failed Light Up Oyo which gulped a whooping #28 billion?
I am not the one who claimed the project failed. The Governor himself was the first to admit to it.
Even if his friend was unable to see the terrible situation of the Road that led to the Governor’s Village, he surely must have heard of the terrible accident that occured recently as a result of the extremely poor state of the road?
While his friend was coasting on the Apata/ Akala express road, did he glance sideways to see what has become of the access roads to the express?
In fact, Mr. Babajide’s friend must be having issues with comprehension if he narrowed the issues in my article that is giving them diorhea to Ibadan and other zones of the state.
I won’t allow lickspittles like Babajide and his unknown friend to seek asylum under their attempt to introduce divisiveness into this discussion.
Governor Seyi Makinde is not the first Governor from Ibadan.
In fact, the Eleyele/Ido/ Eruwa Road Alex mentioned was constructed by the late Lam Adesina an Ibadan man.
All through the tenures of the former Governor Rashidi Adewolu Ladoja, the said road was not abandoned but well maintained. He is also an Ibadan man.
In fact, under him, monthly Allocations for the Local Governments were released to the Local Government Chairmen for the developments of their areas.
Similarly, late Governor Ajimobi had approved funds for the rehabilitation of the road and the contractor was on site when Makinde came and said he caught some thieves who had embezzled the funds meant for the rehabilitation.
Incidentally, the road was about 90 percent completed when he claimed to have caught those thieves.
I have been asking the Governor to tell us where the thieves he caught in 2019 are today.
The Governor would not dare to talk about it and overzealous unofficial defenders like Alex won’t want us to talk about it.
You won’t get your wish.
He also claimed that Makinde is doing so well and that is why Ibadan people gave him overwhelming support and reelected him for a second term.
I want Governor Makinde to come out and align with the ignorance of his Busy Body that the votes from Oke Ogun, Oyo, Ogbomoso and Ibarapa count for nothing in 2023.
I know that this gullible zealots will soon run the Governor to problems.
Even though the clown thought it necessary to dissipate energy to respond to my story, he ignorantly concluded that the Governor’s spokespersons decided to ignore my claims because they must have seen no reason to react to what he called ” baseless criticisms”.
Yes. You’re very correct. The Governor’s spokespersons are ignoring my write-ups. However, it is not because they are baseless, it is because they will dare not make such useless statements as the one you just made and allow us to latch on to that as the official position of Government.
Moreso, they know that there is no answers to the questions asked.
Does Alex want the Governor’s spokespersons to come out and stupidly admit that Governor Makinde is truly neglecting other zones because Ibadan alone voted for him?
The Governor’s spokespersons would not say anything because they know the truth.
Alex cleverly claimed that even if I have information that the Governor is spending the funds meant for the 33 Local Governments to rehabilitate Roads in a few Local Governments within Ibadan, there is no big deal in it because, according to him, the Governor would move to other zones.
Imagine such a display of ignorance.
You are comfortable with such reckless statements because you are patently ignorant and lacking in knowledge.
This will lead me to the main issue of concern here.
Since I wrote that piece. I discovered that the camp of the Governor are uncomfortable and could not keep quiet as they have been doing recently.
They need an alibi.
What they considered the clever way out is to colorize my allegations as that which is against Ibadan Land.
I am not a fool and won’t fall for that cheap blackmail.
I have been in politics since the time of the defunct Social Democratic Party ( SDP) and the National Republican Convention, (NRC).
In the process, I have made many friends and learned from many political figures from Ibadan Land and the number is too much to mention.
I know an average Ibadan man to be extremely political savvy and dexterous.
I am certain that no politician from Ibadan Land will approve of the illegal actions of Governor Makinde.
My grouse is simple and no one has answered them.
Where does Governor Makinde derived the powers that allowed him to collapse the monthly Allocations meant for the developments of the 33 Local Governments to rehabilitate Roads in a few Local Governments in Ibadan?
I am unaware of such powers. If there is, let the Governor tell us and there would be nothing for the lickspittles to waste their saliva on.
When monthly Allocations are released in respect of the 33 Local Governments, they come, attached to specific Local Governments.
They are not released Omnibus.
How come that when it dropped, the Governor now collapsed the funds and began to spend on a particular zone?
The reference to zone is even misleading.
Ibadan consists of 11 Local Governments.
How many of the said Local Governments has the Governor touched through this illegal expenditures?
The Governor said he partnered with Local Government Chairmen.
No problems. Where is the detail of the partnership arrangements that allows you to spend the funds meant for the development of my Local Government elsewhere?
It’s so simple. I want to see the roles played by the Chairman of my Local Government, the Head of Local Government Administration, the Director of Administration and General Services and the Director of Finance in the unholy alliance.
Mr. Alex, that is my Constitutional right guaranteed by the Constitution of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, 1999 as amended.
You and other lickspittles like you can not discourage me from exercising such rights.
You said I may have information. Yes. I do.
However, I won’t agree with you that the Governor can divert funds released for the developments of my Local Government to rehabilitate Roads in Ibadan because ” Ibadan is the state capital” as you ignorantly concluded.
Where is the common sense in that? Where is the fairness? Where the equity?
That is why Governor Makinde’s spokespersons have decided to keep mute because they won’t dare to make such reckless statements.
It baffles me that you ended your ignorant piece with the song Governor Makinde loves so much.
That is why I said I smelled the hands of the official spokesperson for the Governor in this write up.
I hope the Governor is not making jests of the rest of the state through that your reckless ” tiwa naa lo de e o fara moo….” song?
That reckless song is not only misconceived, it is injurious to the political future of the Governor.
His tenure expires in a couple of years and I hope he will limit his campaigns to the few Local Governments within the state capital where he had illegally been favoring with the resources for the 33 Local Governments.
That is when people like us will reply to your reckless song by singing in reply ” ibi e gbe Amala de ni e jo de, e ma e jijo elesinrin dodo mi, ibi e gbe Amala de ni e jo de”.
It’s painful that I have to dedicate some time to reply another nitwit like Alex but it is what it is.
I will like to conclude by saying that your unnecessary research which informed you about my status as a member of the All Progressives Congress is not only pointless. It is also a waste of time.
Please, tell me when it became a taboo for a member of the opposition Party to demand accountability, fairness and equity from the Government in power?
Lazy lots.
Where were you when Eng. Seyi Makinde was criticizing the Government of late Ajimobi?
I don’t know why this shameless ones would be going contrary to the wishes of the Governor they claimed they’re defending.
The Governor said, ” hold me accountable”.
Exactly what we are doing. What is your problem?
My simple advice for Alex is that when you want to jump in defence of public officials in the future, be in control of your dictions and study extant Laws that are relevant to the topic in debate.
You just ended up making the Governor look bad.
SOLA ABEGUNDE.
