A video by a popular Ibadan OAP, Oriyomi Hamzat is currently trending .
In the said video, a picture of the former chairman of the Parks Management System, PMS, Mukaila Auxiliary could be seen while Oriyomi in a voice over is heard singing about what would definitely be the fate of Auxiliary.
” A fi Olorun sin o, Olorun je o dewon layo, A fi Olorun sin o..” in translation, Oriyomi was singing and bidding Auxillary a farewell to the prison yard.
In fact, in his cocksuredness, he stated that the only option left for Auxiliary is to choose where he would serve his terms, “…boya Agodi abi Abolongo..” translating to mean that Auxiliary have only one of choosing between Agodi or Aboloni prisons to serve out his term.
He went further to say that whatever he wore as at the time of arrest would be the clothes he would be wearing to prison.
I have no problems with whatever fate Auxiliary is suffering from at present.
I also have no issues with Oriyomi’s decision to mock him.
It is their kettle of fish.
However, I have some observations and advice for the gentleman and others who have been and are still pawns on Governor Makinde’s chess board.
In the first instance, it is prejudice for anyone, even a Lawyer to say with finality that an accused individual will end up in prison.
In fact, it is illegal to preempt investigations and court proceedings.
Whatever Oriyomi’s delights are about the predicaments of Mukaila, he should learn to manage it inside of him and not come out to rejoice about it at this stage.
Secondly, Oriyomi’s present position smacks of hypocrisy.
When Auxiliary was doing the ugly jobs for their common master, where was Oriyomi?
If he hated Auxiliary that much, how come he is in love with the one who was Auxiliary’s master?
What is the difference between the two of them?
Are they not being used by one master albeit for different purposes?
I recollect at some point that he had personal beef with the former Chairman of the PMS during Makinde’s first term and I remember listening to him on Radio beating his chest that he was a ” stakeholder in Makinde’s government”.
Whatever that means.
Let me remind Oriyomi that he, like Auxiliary is not immuned from being dumped by their desperate master.
He should also remember that the axe of the controversial notebook contracts he got from the government of their master is also there in the cooler.
” Ojo npa iyo, inu ori ndun..” the Shea butter should not rejoice when the salt is being beaten by the rain.
When the rain stops, the sun will surely come up and I think Oriyomi knows what happens when the scorching sun visits the Shea butter.
Like I said, I have no pity for Mukaila.
The evils he did in Eruwa, Igangan, Ogbomoso, Agodi Gate and many other places will definitely be punished.
However, those who will come out to mock him should look at themselves and circumstances surrounding them before doing so.
The shoddy notebook contracts deals involving Oriyomi Hamzat is there as I have said before.
I think he should be worried about what the Yorubas call ” the atunbotan” of such shoddy contracts where it has been alleged that he, Oriyomi Hamzat produced a notebook for about two thousand Naira.
How he took a contract of about 2 billion Naira with a company that was hurriedly registered and awarded the contract same day the company was registered.
The said contract have been alleged to have been awarded in breach of Oyo state procurement Laws.
He should remember that this and other shoddy deals of Governor Makinde will be examined immediately the Governor loses his immunity.
I think he should worry that people will definitely look at how and where he got the funds to establish his Radio station from.
It’s just a question of time.
He and others are definitely under the radar except that this is Auxiliary’s time to account for his misdeeds.
Governor Makinde, Oriyomi Hamzat and all others who are being protected by Makinde’s immunity for now will also have their time to give accounts of their deeds and misdeeds.
Even, the other ” governor” who is pulling the strings now and the master of the pipers will definitely have their time before the Law.
No doubts about that.
This brings me to the issue of the OYSIEC Chairman.
That the Governor of Oyo state, Seyi Makinde will at one point or the other throw the Chairman of OYSIEC to the wolves is a forgone conclusion.
The only question is when and not if ?
The Senior Advocate of Nigeria had helped Governor Makinde to fabricate favourable results in support of the PDP twice. The years 2021 and 2024.
Governor Seyi Makinde have not been known to keep friends for a long time.
Most especially, those he had used to obtain one favor or the other.
In 2019, after several failed attempts to become either of a Senator or Governor, luck finally smiled on him when a coalition of opposition political parties were put together for him by a former Governor of Oyo state.
How he treated and have continued to treat the facilitator of the coalition and those who sacrificed their own ambition for Governor Makinde is public knowledge and needs no further flogging.
A former Chairman of the Park Management System, PMS, Mukaila Auxillary is somewhere today kicking his wounds and bruises.
The fellow have been used and brutally dumped by Governor Makinde.
The interesting thing about the matter of Auxillary is the fact that while the Governor still had the need to still use him, he protected him even to the point of threatening whoever attempted to call Auxillary what the whole world knows he is, an ex convict.
For Governor Makinde, once the ex convict still has some usefulness, he never cared whatever anyone had to say.
One can not forget in a hurry, how Governor Makinde lost his cool and threw caution to the wind after the gubernatorial candidate of the APC in 2023 raised the point that whoever that was serious about securing the state would not hobnobbing with an ex convict like Mukaila Auxillary.
Governor Makinde’s reaction that day still amuses me till today albeit sadly so.
However in a sharp twist, Governor Makinde, having succeeded in securing a second term in office, cast out Auxillary and threw him to the dogs.
The predicaments of Mukaila today is also public knowledge.
Governor Seyi Makinde recently threw another jab in the political ring recently.
He set a particular age limits for his successor.
Only God knows the targeted and or potential outcasts who will bear the brunts of such statements.
Like I said, Governor Makinde will eventually throw the Chairman of OYSIEC to the wolves.
The Governor seems not to be able to help doing that to those who have released themselves to be used by him for sinister motives and even those who had genuine intentions of helping him.
Only God knows where he learned the game from.
Perhaps he has read the book, 147 rules of power or Nicolo Machiavelli.
I have wondered without having any conclusion of why a brilliant Lawyer, a Senior Advocate of Nigeria and someone who is reputed to be genuinely religious will surrender his integrity to someone who is not known to appreciate loyalty.
I have also wondered what the Chairman of OYSIEC must be expecting from Governor Makinde.
Honestly, I have not found any answers till this moment.
The relationship between the Governor and the Senior Advocate leaves many questions than answers.
Perhaps, only the two men and God Almighty can provide answers to the puzzle.
Governor Makinde have had his way with the Chairman of OYSIEC twice.
I can bet he will not put up with the public outrage and general condemnations that is currently trailing the OYSIEC and Its Chairman.
The time to withdraw the carpet is very close by.
I won’t be surprised if the usual is done immediately after the Tribunals wind up.
We will definitely witness another man thrown to the wolves shortly.
Perhaps, it is then that we will know the secrets between the user and the used.
Meanwhile, grab your popcorn and enjoy the wait.
SOLA ABEGUNDE.
