The Alumni Association of Ladoke Akintola University of Technology (LAUTECH) has felicitated with a member of the federal house of representatives, Hon. Shina Abiola Peller on the conferment of chieftaincy title, Ayedero of Yoruba Land, on him by the Alaafin of Oyo, His Imperial Majesty Oba (Dr.) Lamidi Adeyemi III.
The LAUTECH Alumni Association, in a goodwill message signed by its Global President, Hon. Onilede Solomon Limo, felicitated with family members, friends, business associates and political allies of Hon. Shina Peller on the chieftaincy title.
“As a successful businessman, politician and promote of Yoruba cultures and traditions, Hon. Peller is worthy of the chieftaincy title. Hon. Peller’s love for community development and giving back to the society, as a public servant and corporate citizen, is appreciated by the Oyo Kingdom” the statement noted.
The Alumni Association while recognising Hon. Peller’s qualitative representation of his federal constituents in the green chamber, urged the LAUTECH-trained Chemical engineer to keep up the good work that qualified him for such a great honour.
The statement further stressed that Hon. Peller has also brought his diligence and dedication to duty to bear as a federal lawmaker.
While wishing the the Iseyin-born politician and business guru a memorable celebration, the Alumni Association expressed the hope that Ayedero title would inspire him to continue his good works for humanity.
Hon. Peller, who represents Iseyin/Itesiwaju/Kajola/Iwajowa federal constituency, was on Saturday 28th August 2021, formally conferred with the Chieftaincy title of Ayedero of Yorubaland by the Alaafin of Oyo. Also honoured alongside with an alumnus of LAUTECH, is his wife, Chief (Mrs.) Ayobola Peller, who was conferred with the Chieftaincy title of Yeye Ayedero of Yorubaland.
The chieftaincy title, Ayedero of Yorubaland, means someone who brings peace and prosperity to his people (Yorubaland) as well as someone who ensures that tranquillity reigns in the land and makes life easy for all.
The epoch-making event, which took place at the Royal Palace of the Alaafin in Oyo town, Oyo State, witnessed the presence of royal fathers, political gladiators, traditional chiefs in different parts of the country, businessmen and women, celebrities and other prominent personalities both within and outside the country.
