    I Will Continue To Work For The Benefits Of Our People– Osun Speaker, Egbedun

    The Speaker of the Osun State House of Assembly, Rt. Hon. Adewale Egbedun has reaffirmed his solemn commitment to the uplifting of constituents and Osun people at large through sound legislations and other interventions, noting that the people remain the fulcrum of his agenda in the House.

    Speaker Egbedun disclosed this at a brief ceremony for the distribution of empowerment items to selected constituents in Odo-Otin on Thursday, charging government officials at all levels to use their positions to positively touch lives.

    The Speaker who lauded The Chairman of Odo-Otin Central Local Government Area, Hon. Adeyinka Adewale, for putting up the empowerment to support citizens in different endeavours of life, tasked other council chairmen to follow his good example and ensure that citizens fair better under them.

    He said the House is always ready to give the needed support to council chairmen in effecting meaningfully impacts at the grassroot, warning that the Assembly under his leadership will not hesitate to slam the hammer on any official who acted outside the pro-people ideology of Governor Ademola Adeleke.

    The Speaker also used the occasion to officially present a Toyota Corolla Car to the State Assistant Organising Secretary of the PDP, Alhaja Bose Lawal, calling on all members to remain loyal and committed to the party as no contribution will go unnoticed.

    Items such as fumigating machines, chemicals of varying types, and other farming tools were handed out to beneficiaries. Other items were clippers, cooking gas, and money for the widows and the aged. A total of 126 people benefited from the empowerment programme.

    Pa. Adeniyi Jacob who gave a remark on behalf of beneficiaries, appreciated Hon. Adewale for the items, noting that the support will go a long way in helping families to navigate the unfolding economic condition triggered by fuel subsidy removal.

    He also lauded the Speaker for the incredible leadership he has demonstrated since assuming the leadership of the House, pointing out that his decisions, actions and interventions have so far proven to be excellent, which prefaces better things to come.
