The Chief of Army Staff, Lieutenant General Faruk Yahaya has reiterated his commitment to rewarding hardwork and discipline among officers and soldiers of the Nigerian Army.

He made this known in his address to officers and soldiers of 4 Brigade Nigerian Army during his familiarisation tour to the Brigade on 24 August 2021.

He stressed that with hardwork and discipline professionalism is attainable, adding that this will culminate in recognition and reward.

The COAS further encouraged junior commanders to be up and doing in the discharge of their duties; as this will spur them to greater height in their military career.

Earlier, the Chief of Army Staff paid a courtesy call on His Royal Majesty, Omo N’oba N’edo Uku Akpolopolo, Ewuare II, Oba of Benin Kingdom.

In his remarks, the Oba condoled the Chief of Army Staff on the demise of the former Chief of Army Staff Lt Gen Ibrahim Attahiru, who died in an unfortunate air crash with 10 other personnel. He prayed that the operational successes being recorded by the military and security agencies in recent time, will bring about lasting peace in the country.

The Chief of Army Staff also paid a working visit to the Military Hospital, Benin, where he empathized with officers and soldiers who were wounded in action. He offered them his assurance of adequate medical care under his leadership.

The climax of COAS familiarisation tour of 4 Brigade Nigerian Army was the presentation of souvenirs and signing of visitor’s book.
