Some leaders of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Benue State have told President Muhammadu Buhari to declare a state of emergency in the state.
Minister for Special Duties, Senator George Akume made the call in Abuja on Monday on behalf of APC leaders in the state.
Akume stated that the call was hinged on the fact that Governor Samuel Ortom had lost control of the security situation in the state.
The party leaders condemned governor Samuel Ortom’s attacks on Buhari-led federal government without regard for his age and office.
