The Caretaker/Extraordinary Convention Planning Committee (CECPC) of the All Progressives Congress (APC) has again rejected list of state executives of Oyo State Chapter of the party, submitted by former state chairman, Chief Akin Oke.
The State Affairs NG reliably gathered that Chief Oke reported to the National Secretariat of the party on Wednesday to beat a week deadline given to Oyo APC stakeholders to harmonise list of state executives of the party.
Inside sources at the National Secretariat of the party told this newspaper that the National Caretaker Chairman, Governor Mai Mala Buni rejected Oke’s list, citing non-involvement of former governor Alao-Akala in the harmonisation process.
There have been claims and counter-claims on who to midwife harmonization process between the former governor Alao-Akala and former state chairman of the party, Chief Oke. However, this newspaper understands that with the rejection of Oke’s list in Abuja on Wednesday, Otunba Alao-Akala is expected to oversee the harmonisation process.
