Nigeria’s federal government has advised civil servants to exercise caution in spending their November salary because of the possible delay in the payment of their remuneration for December. The Head of Civil Service of the Federation, Dr Folasade Yemi-Esan issued the advisory on Wednesday in a circular. The Presidency has denied reports that President Muhammadu Buhari declined assent to the Electoral Act Amendment Bill which was recently transmitted to him by the National Assembly. President Buhari’s senior media assistant, Garba Shehu, denied the claim during a telephone chat with THE WHISTLER on Thursday. Troops of Operation Hadin Kai have rescued 20 policemen abducted by terrorists in Buni Yadi, Yobe.  The Acting Director Defence Media Operations, Brigadier General Benard Onyeuko said this during a media briefing at the Defence Headquarters in Abuja on Thursday.
