It was a very solemn and sober occasion at the residence of our late Senator Gbenga Aluko in Asokoro, Abuja. As friend among whom were Senator Tokunbo Afikuyomi, Senator Olubunmi Adetunmbi, Senator Jide Omoworare, Hon Kayode Oladele, Senator Lawal Shuaibu and Senator Opeyemi Bamidele visited to condole, the widow of the deceased Mrs Sileola Aluko.

The visitors expressed their shock and sadness at the sudden departure of Senator Gbenga Aluko while conveying to the Wife their sincere condolences and that of other friends, and His colleagues at the 4th senate(1999 senators), where he was also a principal officer. They assured the wife and family of their continued love and support, as they remain in their thoughts and prayers.

They also prayed that; God will uphold the family and all his loved ones and grant them the fortitude and strength to bear this very sad loss. Importantly, the group stated that, Senator Gbenga Aluko selflessly served Nigeria, and was a global citizen, a perfect gentleman, a truly detribalised Nigerian, and a great Nigerian.

“He was unreservedly committed to his people of Ekiti State. We would sadly miss him. May his soul rest in peace and May his memory be a blessing.” the group said.
