When Eng. Remi Oseni promised to be the Governor for his constituents in Ido/ Ibarapa East Federal constituency, not many thought that was a possibility.
Ever before his election as member representing Ido/Ibarapa East in the Green Chamber, Remi Oseni has established himself as a philanthropist.
His character as a cheerful giver were never in doubts but to shoulder the responsibilities of Governor in his constituency seems like a tall order.
Surprisingly, the House committee chairman on FERMA have walked his talk and is proving to be up to the task of fulfilling the duties of the Council Chairman, Hon. House of Assembly and the Governor rolled into one!
The pastor/politician has embraced the challenges of the promises he made to his people with positive action plan and execution.
He started by putting together and registering a Board of Trustees headed by no less a person than Chief Michael Adeniyi Akintola SAN and comprising of people of diverse professional and religious backgrounds.
This Body is considered as the apex advisory body.
I am aware that Oseni have just recently paid for the WAEC fees of over 300 applicants and JAMB fees of over 600 applicants within his constituent.
He has distributed freezers, generators and sewing machines worth hundreds of millions as empowerment.
True to his words, he has appointed 64 special Assistants across the 20 wards of Ido/Ibarapa East Federal constituency.
This Assistants, according to the action plan will serve as his Commissioners and they have undergone training by renown facilitators.
That, sure, is novel.
He has commenced the Economic development of the constituency by the release of 1 million Naira each to eleven beneficiaries.
The process is ongoing.
He has released the sum of 2.5 million Naira to market women in Ido as micro credit.
He has ordered for earth moving equipments like bulldozers, graders and low bed to immediately commence aggressive grading of roads within farms and villages in the constituency.
This is directed towards the enhancement of Agric-economy development.
Around December/January, he distributed 1,200 bags of rice across the constituency with extension to other stakeholders in outside his constituency.
Eng. Remi Oseni have definitely been walking the talk.
It is indeed a great time for the people of Ido/Ibarapa East Federal constituency.
With a representative/Governor, life become easy.
SOLA ABEGUNDE.
