As the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC) prepares for its 2022 National Convention, the party National Headquarters has released the list of APC States Chairmen that have been recognized as authentic as seen in the image below.
Recall that some months ago, when the party conducted the states congress across the country, the majority of the states had parallel congresses, leading to two states chairmen.
The most worrisome part is that the chairmen in each of the states claim to be the authentic chairman.
Now that the party has released a list of the chairmen they recognized, what now becomes of the aggrieved chairmen members? For me, I think, their next line of action may be to reject the list, or they join forces with the authentic chairmen. Some might even leave the party to another party where they will be appreciated and recognized.
Truthfully, I think releasing this list is a good step for the party as this will bring to an end the malicious claims by some members who claimed to be the original and authentic faction of the party.
It will also help the party to organize a peaceful National congress by 2022, as those whose names are not found on the list cannot claim to be the state chairmen during the congress.
As 2023 is drawing closer, every political party is putting up strategic modalities to give their parties a good shape. So I think the APC is in order.
