“To the youths and teenagers out there, please note that the devil is out there trying to mess with our minds and paralyze our dreams; we must not give up and remember only God’s mercy can make us scale through. Your mental health comes first! Do not let anything tamper with it. Do not give the devil a chance and don’t stop, till your dreams becomes reality.”

TEXT OF TREASURED LIZZY’S SPEECH AT A SPECIAL PRESS CONFERENCE HELD IN
IBADAN TODAY, 22ND DAY OF NOVEMBER 2021
Good day, members of the press, my family, fans, and supporters all over the world.
My name is Elizabeth Ayomide-Babalola known as TREASURED LIZZY(TL) and I invited you today to share some things about my life and speak with my fellow teenagers out there.
I fought some battles that almost consumed me, and I battled depression several times.
These past few months have been quite rough for me, and in my search for happiness, I was misled and ventured into things I deeply regret, but I thank God for His love through which I found my way back.
During those dark times, I didn’t honor any invitation or have any performance because I needed my personal time with God and I also had to deal with my mental health.
“Because of the Lord’s great love, we are not consumed, for His compassions never fail.”
Lamentations 3:22. I have made peace with my creator; and I strongly believe in His mercies.
I’m grateful to my ever-supportive parents who stood by me. I never really thought I could talk about this, but I know many are going through depression and feel like everything is just crashing down. Just hang in there! Believe me, I attempted suicide but now, I’m back on the right track with God and I’m moving on.
To the youths and teenagers out there, please note that the devil is out there trying to mess with our minds and paralyze our dreams; we must not give up and remember only God’s mercy can make us scale through. Your mental health comes first! Do not let anything tamper with it. Do not give the devil a chance and don’t stop, till your dreams becomes a reality.
To every parent out there, your teenage daughter and son needs you. Show them love and listen to them.
Thank you all for your love, support, and prayers.
Elizabeth Ayomide-Babalola
